Vintage Goodness in a Crisp White Shirt and Denim

Good morning!!

Well, is it any surprise that there is some kind of denim in my outfit, nor is it that its mostly vintage? Nope I don't think it is! My essentials, denim cutoff shorts and a crisp white shirt (which no one should ever be without in their wardrobe)!  I have been wearing more vintage then ever lately and I can't get enough, and why would I?  It's really just too good!  Worn in gems that you won't be able to find another exactly like…. its really pretty awesome! With this said I am getting ready to relaunch my blog and vintage store (here) within the next couple of weeks and I am SO excited!  I will be updating the store with new vintage arrivals weekly, so keep your eyes peeled on @shop_fashionorfamine on Instagram! Sunbathing in Vintage Leather

While this is really not practical at all, to sunbathe in leather (although it was actually quite awesome) I could wear this vintage leather jacket with every possible outfit combination.  To be honest I love the impractical and spontaneous and this outfit was just that!  More vintage coming to the store soon and don't forget to follow shop_fashionorfamine on Instagram for new arrivals and everythang vintage and more!!!

Denim Adventure

It's really no surprise at all that I am yet again in a denim ensemble, and why would I want it any other way!  This is an oldie vintage Lee denim jumper that caught my eye the other day and I decided to no longer wear it buttoned but make it in to my own personal vintage wrap dress, and tie it off with a vintage gold belt, and ya know what?!  Its my new jam!  So….here's to a little adventure!!

Vintage Levi's Denim Jacket for the Win

I will keep it short and sweet as I usually do!  There's really not a lot of explaining that can go into a vintage Levi's denim jacket.  I'd like to think in my world it speaks for itself, in all its awesomeness!!  It's a staple, it's an essential, dress it up, dress it down, tie it around your waist….WHO knows what! I wear mine (I actually have 3 currently) all the time and I wear it most of the time with denim.  Even if it is or isn't on a trend, I really love the way denim on denim works together with different colors and textures, its always unexpected and eclectic and I love it.

Oh and one last thing don't find yourself without a vintage denim jacket this season or any season for that matter! Just don't do it, there will be a few jackets coming to Fashion or Famine's Vintage store very very soon! wink, wink! SO don't miss out!  There will be some other gems too!

Florida and Some Patches

Although it is now December (which is absolutely shocking to me how fast time fly's) !!!  In L.A. only til recently its starting to get a little cold, so I couldn't help but to post a summer crop tee (literally cut right before these pictures were taken) and my patch jeans.  I didn't think buying a pair of jeans covered in patches would be in constant rotation in my wardrobe, but they most definitely are!!  I wear these jeans all the time and I'm finding more and more that sometimes the purchases for myself that are nowhere practical, I truly get the most wear out of them!!  So take a chance!! Hopefully not just on jeans with patches!!

Cadillac and the Boots

It's just not everyday that you see a Cadillac in this pristine of condition, you know?!  I am a huge lover of all old cars and would love one myself (a 67' Chevelle to be exact) however, this Cad was really inspiration nation if you know what I mean!  I've been patiently waiting to wear these new over the knee boots out and about and now its finally time, perfect for fall in L.A. !  All you need is a warm sweater or jacket, a great pair of over the knee boots and of course a pair of vintage cutoffs! Done and done!

Nothing like a men's tuxedo shirt turned into a dress!

 You would never deny that a white shirt is an essential, but an arsenal of good white shirts may be essential as well!  You can never ever go wrong with a white shirt!   So many options, so many ways to wear it.  I found this tuxedo version when vintage shopping recently and I thought it would be the perfect dress/shirt/layering piece...you name it!  Obviously it can be worn many ways, half way unbuttoned with leather pants, or shorts, who knows maybe with a sequin mini!  Either way its a new go to for my wardrobe!!  Nothing like a men's tuxedo shirt turned dress!

Keep those sequins coming!

I basically live in these Frame denim and ever since I laid eyes on this vintage sequin blazer, it too, has fell victim to my constant wearing!!  I think its perfect with nothing else under it, but it's also quite nice with a good ol' vintage tee and cutoffs as well!  I mean when are sequins ever wrong?  They are perfect year round and with almost everything!!

Crop-tastic!

Hello and good morning!!

I realize that its Fall, and as much as I'm excited for all things Fall, it is still very very hot in L.A. right now!!  I am not complaining one bit....I LOVE summer!!  So with that said crop's are still going strong in my wardrobe and I think they will for awhile, I love the idea of pairing a crop with a midi skirt or long trousers for Fall, but for right now, why not pair it with my all time favorite wardrobe stable... vintage Levi's denim shorts!

Ruffle-crop-tastic

Nothing like a little ruffle and a crop top to tie a pair of high waisters together!  I have always been one to appreciate a ruffle, especially the more voluminous soft type of ruffle that really drives home the statement!  I also have dived straight into the crop top trend and find it truly awesome in all respects.  It's a wardrobe changer...I've now taken to wanting all sorts of vintage tops that I want to cut into crops as well!

Well there you have it!  A good crop top, ruffle and a high waisted jean!
